Kari Samantha (born April 28th in 1967) Wuhrer is an American actress and performer. She began her acting career when she was just a teen. She is best known for playing Maggie Beckett on the TV series Sliders as well as her character, Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the horror-comedy film Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was raised at Brookfield Connecticut as the daughter of Karin Noble and worked as a payroll clerk, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer. Her father was the eldest of her three siblings. In her teens she was a nightclub performer by sneaking from the house. The actress studied acting since the age of 13 at the Wooster School. Later, she studied acting at the NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan College, Columbia University, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts alongside renowned instructor Uta Hagen.Kari Samantha Wuhrer was an American model, actress and singer. Her birthplace was in Brookfield on the 28th of April in 1967. Her German-American dad is also a dealer in cars and a police officer. Kari is the youngest of three siblings. When she was a teenager, she sang at nightclubs and then slipped away to do a show. Kari, who was then 13 years old, attended the Wooster School as well as Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She took drama classes at Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College college, and also The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where she had a teacher known for her work as Uta. Kari was introduced to acting at 13 and got her breakthrough in 1987 on MTV Remote Control.
